YOU USED TO CALL ME ON MY CELL PHONE

“Online Performance” @ We’re All Bats Listening Arts Channel

While during the Covid19 crisis performances were generally all moved online and streamed to a non-specific general audience, “You Used To Call Me On My Cell Phone” is focused on the intimate, personal, and ‘old fashioned’. In this work, every audience member is called up individually on the telephone and performed to for a short period of time. Each performance is improvised and exists only for the person being called. Audio quality is poor and limited (300 Hz to 3.4 kHz), but interactive in that each person’s microphone can be live processed and incorporated into their own private piece.
