“Never Here, Always There” is a deconstructed virtual reality environment: an immaterial space constructed using traditional projectors and a simple paper mask to submerge the viewer into an abstract virtual world of line, texture, color, sound, and space.  Visitors are invited into the room one at a time, outfitted with a mask and headphones, and immersed in a completely enveloping environment of light and sound – one in which they can wander through, explore, and interact with.
